Jasmine Rice
Ingredients
- 2 cups (460 g) jasmine rice
- 3 cups (750 ml) chicken broth, vegetable broth or water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter
- Fresh herbs, finely chopped, to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold running water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
- In a pot, bring the rice, broth and salt to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Stir and cover the pot. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until the liquid has been completely absorbed. Remove from the heat and let sit, covered, for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and fluff the grains of rice with a fork. Add the butter and herbs. Mix well. Adjust the seasoning.
