Grilled Steak Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 tsp five peppercorn blend, crushed
- 2 tsp coriander seeds, crushed
- 1 tsp cumin seeds, crushed
- 1 1/2 lb (675 g) flap or flank steak
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp finely chopped dates (about 2 to 4 dates depending on size)
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Dijon mustard
- 20 large Boston or curly lettuce leaves
- 2 carrots, peeled and cut into julienne
- 1/2 English cucumber, peeled and cut into julienne
Instructions
- In a bowl or sealable bag, combine all of the ingredients. Add the meat and toss to coat. Cover the bowl or seal the bag. Refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
