Frita Beef Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 lb (454 g) lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup (62 g) bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) ketchup
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- Canola oil, for frying
- 2 russet potatoes, peeled and thinly julienned with a mandolin
- 4 hamburger buns
- Ketchup
- 1 cup (160 g) pickled sweet banana peppers, sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Season with salt
- and pepper. Shape into 4 patties. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill, setting the burners to high. Oil the grate. Preheat the deep fryer to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with paper towels.
- Grill the patties for about 4 minutes on each side, or until
- the meat is well done. Toast the buns.
