Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) pastry flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking powder
  • 1/3 cup (75 ml) cold vegetable shortening
  • 6 tablespoons (90 ml) hot water, approximately
  • A pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) 35% cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F).
