Stout-Glazed Beef Skewers
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) stout or other dark beer
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup (55 g) lightly packed brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 lb (450 g) flap steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- Small wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring the beer, vinegar and brown sugar to a boil over medium heat. Let the glaze reduce for 15 minutes or until syrupy. Remove from the heat and add the garlic. Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate.
