Beef Keftas on Naan Bread
Tell your kids to roll up their sleeves and hand over the ice cream scoop: Who knew you could use it to shape the kefta (traditionally, a ground lamb mixture) into balls and then flatten them into patties using your hands? Dinner has never been this easy, or fun.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp (5 ml) harissa paste
- 2 cups (270 g) cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 shallot, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp (5 ml) olive oil
- ¼ tsp ground cumin
- Salt and pepper
- 1 ½ lb (675 g) lean ground beef
- ¼ cup (65 g) bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp (5 ml) harissa paste
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 6 naan breads
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
