Beef and Bell Pepper Grilled Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
- 1 can 14 oz (398 ml) Italian crushed tomatoes
- 1/8 teaspoon (0.5 ml) crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper
- 1 recipe Pizza Dough (for 4)
- 1 small red onion, cut into 1/4-inch (0.5-cm) slices
- 1 lb (454 g) beef tenderloin steak
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
- 2 yellow or red bell peppers, roasted, peeled, and cut into strips
- 16 Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a skillet, soften onion and garlic in oil. Add tomatoes and pepper and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Keep warm.
