Basic Rice Cooker Pilaf
Ingredients
- 1 onion, finely chopped (see note)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 measures* (275 g) white or brown rice, long-grain or parboiled
- 2 measures* (340 ml) chicken broth for white rice or 2 ½ measures* (420 ml) chicken broth for brown rice
Instructions
- Preheat the rice cooker on the Pilaf function for 3 minutes. Soften the onions in the butter for 2 minutes. Add the rice and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly to coat the rice in the butter. Add the broth. Season with salt and pepper. Close the lid.
- The rice will be ready when the rice cooker has switched to Warm mode.
