Bagel Burger
Ingredients
- 3 onions, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) butter
- 1 lb (454 g) sliced beef fondue
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- Cream cheese
- 4 bagels, halved and toasted
- Whole-grain mustard
Instructions
- In a large skillet, gently fry the onions in the butter until they caramelize, about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- In the same skillet over high heat, brown the meat in the oil. Add the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Adjust the seasoning.
- Generously spread the bottom bagel slices with cream cheese. Cover with meat and garnish with caramelized onions. Spread mustard on the remaining bagel halves and close. Serve with a green salad or Vietnamese Hot Pot Soup.
