Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs
Make the most of grilling season by wrapping your hot dogs with bacon before grilling them and then glazing them with a maple and garlic sauce at the very end. Garnish them with coleslaw and mustard.
Ingredients
- 3 cups (255 g) green cabbage, thinly sliced on a mandoline
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced on a mandoline
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) white vinegar
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8 hot dogs
- 8 slices bacon
- 8 hot dog buns, lightly buttered
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) maple syrup
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) ketchup
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tsp (10 ml) prepared yellow mustard, plus more for serving
- 1 small garlic clove, finely grated
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Let marinate while you prepare and cook the hot dogs.
