Vanilla Royal Icing
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (195 g) icing sugar
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) red gel food colouring (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients until smooth.
- Dip the tops of cookies in the icing or spoon the icing into a pastry bag fitted with a small tip to decorate your cookies. Let rest on a wire rack for 4 hours or until firm.
