Sunflower Oil Shortcrust
Ingredients
- 3 cups (750 ml) all-purpose flour
- Salt
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) cold water
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) sunflower oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
- Make a well in the centre of the flour and pour in the liquids. Blend gently with a knife. Shape into a ball with your hands. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for about 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Line an 8-inch (20-cm) pie plate and add the desired filling.
