Whisky Ginger Cocktail
Step into summer with a cocktail that has some bite to it. Quebec whisky, white apple vermouth, triple sec, fresh thyme and ginger beer with its spicy and tangy taste, provide for contrasting flavours. This is the refreshing drink you need when sitting down for the first barbecue of the season.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) ice cubes
- 1 ½ oz (45 ml) whisky
- 1 oz (30 ml) white cider vermouth
- ½ oz (15 ml) Triple Sec or other clear orange liqueur
- ½ bottle (about 140 ml) ginger beer, cold
- 1 thyme sprig
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, vigorously mix half of the ice cubes with the whisky, vermouth and Triple Sec. Strain into a stemmed glass over the remaining ice cubes. Add the ginger beer. Garnish with the thyme.
