Plum Syrup with Star Anise
Ingredients
- 6 black plums, cut into cubes
- 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
- 1 cup (250 ml) water
- 5 pods star anise
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil. Simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 15 minutes. Strain and transfer to a small pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled, about 4 hours.
- Use to flavour sparkling wine or drizzle over vanilla ice cream.
