Pizza Dip
Ingredients
- 1 can (19 oz/540 ml) diced tomatoes
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 5 basil leaves
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 container (300 g) ricotta cheese
- 2 1/2 cups (250 g) mozzarella cheese, grated
- 3 oz (85 g) sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 baguette, sliced and toasted
Instructions
- With the rack in the top third, preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a tall, narrow container, such as a measuring cup, combine all of the ingredients. Using a hand blender, purée until smooth. Season with salt. Spread the sauce out in a 10-inch (25 cm) cast iron pan (or another type of skillet that is not non-stick). Bake for 10 minutes.
