Limoncello Spritz
Ingredients
- 1 long lemon zest removed with a vegetable peeler
- 1 cup (250 ml) ice cubes
- 2 oz (60 ml) limoncello
- 2 oz (60 ml) sparkling wine, cold
- 2 oz (60 ml) lemon sparkling water, cold (see note)
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
Instructions
- On a work surface, using a small knife, remove the white pith from the lemon zest. Cut the zest into a long rectangle. Cut the two short sides of the rectangle on an angle. Make an incision lengthwise down the centre of the zest. Curl the zest around itself.
- Place the ice cubes in a white wine glass. Pour in the limoncello, sparkling wine, lemon sparkling water and lemon juice. Mix well. Rub the rim of the glass with the zest, then hang the zest on the rim to decorate.
