Fried Plantains with Lime Salt
Ingredients
- Grated zest of 1/2 lime
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cayenne pepper
- Canola or peanut oil, for frying
- 1 to 2 firm plantains (see Note), peeled and thinly sliced lengthwise with a mandolin
Instructions
- Preheat the oil in the deep fryer, setting the temperature on high. Line a baking sheet with paper towels.
