Fried Green Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) crème fraiche or sour cream
- 15 ml (1 c. à soupe) chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) flat parsley, chopped
- Tabasco sauce, to taste
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup (250 ml) corn flour
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground pepper
- 8 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) canola oil or olive oil
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) buttermilk
- 8 large 1/4-inch (1/2-cm) thick green tomatoes slices
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate.
