Citrus White Velvet (Lager and Cider Drink)
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
- Grated zest and juice of 1 orange
- Grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 3 bottles 341 ml cold lager
- 3 bottles 341 ml cold sparkling cider
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring the brown sugar, ginger, and the zest and juice of the citrus fruit. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate for about 1 hour. Strain.
- In a large pitcher, combine the beer, cider, and ginger syrup. Pour into beer glasses. If desired, serve with ice.
