Cheese Fondue Tower
Ingredients
- 1 cup (150 g) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup (75 ml) warm water
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 3 small wheels of brie or Camembert cheese, about 12 oz (300 g) each, all the same diameter (see note)
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 1 lb (450 g) small baby potatoes
Instructions
- In a large bowl, using a wooden spoon, combine the flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Add the water and oil. Mix until the dough comes together in a ball. Knead the dough for 5 minutes on a floured work surface until smooth.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place in a clean, lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a damp dishcloth and let rise in a warm, humid spot for 2 hours or until doubled in volume.
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
