Blackberry Mocktail
Ingredients
- 9 fresh blackberries
- ½ cup (125 ml) ice cubes
- 2 oz (60 ml) non-alcoholic gin
- 1 oz (30 ml) orgeat syrup (see note)
- 1 oz (30 ml) lemon juice
- 4 drops Angostura-type bitters
- 1 cup (250 ml) crushed ice, about
- 1 small bunch mint
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, using a muddler, crush 6 blackberries to extract as much juice as possible. Add the ice cubes, non-alcoholic gin, orgeat syrup, lemon juice and bitters. Mix vigorously for 1 minute. Strain into a sieve placed over a lowball glass filled with the crushed ice. Decorate with the remaining blackberries threaded onto a cocktail skewer and the bunch of mint.
