Piri-Piri Beef Skewers
Ingredients
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) piri-piri sauce
- 1 1/2 lb (675 g) flank steak, cut into cubes
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
- 8 large or 20 small wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, brown the onion in half the oil. Add the paprika and garlic and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the lemon juice, piri-piri sauce, and remaining oil. Stir well and let cool.
