  • 1 1/2 lb (675 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips about 1/4 inch (5 mm) thick
  • 1 cup (250 ml) buttermilk (see note)
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups (200 g) panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) canola oil
  • Salt and pepper
