Chocolate Pudding Cake
Ingredients
- 3 cups (750 ml) brown sugar
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) cocoa powder, sifted
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) cornstarch
- 2 1/2 cups (625 ml) water
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) 35% cream
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (250 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) cocoa powder, sifted
- 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking soda
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) sugar
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Butter a 33 x 23-cm (13 x 9-inch) baking dish.
