Turkey Burgers with Cranberries
Cooking a turkey in the oven for hours in the middle of summer? No thanks! Opt for ground turkey instead to make these burger patties. Add breadcrumbs and diced raclette cheese to ensure they’re tender. And when turkey is present, cranberries are never far behind. So garnish your burgers with a topping of pickled cranberries.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (105 g) frozen cranberries
- 1/4 cup (55 g) sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) apple cider vinegar
- 1 lb (450 g) ground turkey
- 3 tbsp panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) whole-grain mustard
- 1 tbsp sage, finely chopped
- 4 slices raclette cheese, cut into small dice (4 oz/115 g)
- 1 garlic clove, finely grated
- 4 brioche hamburger buns
- Mayonnaise, to taste
- Whole-grain mustard, to taste
- Curly-leaf lettuce, to taste
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring all of the ingredients to a boil. Season with salt. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring, until the cranberries start to burst slightly and the liquid is thick and syrupy, about 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and let cool. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
