Fruitcake
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) pecan halves
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) unblanched almonds
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) unsalted pistachios
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) raisins, of your choice
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) dried white figs, each cut into 6 pieces
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) dried apricots, each cut into 6 pieces
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) pitted prunes, each cut into quarters
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Marsala wine
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Set aside.
