Chevre Chaud on Apple

Ingredients
- 1 red apple, unpeeled, cored
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) walnut oil
- 1 log of fresh goat cheese (3.5 oz/100g), cut into 6 slices
- 2 tbsp chopped hazelnuts
- Fleur de sel
- 1 1/2 tsp (7.5 ml) honey
- 1 1/2 tsp chives, chopped
Instructions
- With the rack in the highest position, preheat the oven’s broiler.
- On a work surface, slice both ends off the apple, then cut the apple into 6 rounds. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush the apple with the oil.
- Cook the apples under the broiler for 5 minutes.
- Place a piece of cheese on each apple slice. Sprinkle with the hazelnuts. Bake for 1 to 2 minutes or until the cheese starts melting.
- Right out of the oven, sprinkle with a pinch of fleur de sel and season with pepper. Drizzle with honey. Sprinkle with parsley.
