Bacon Vinaigrette
Bacon Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) maple syrup
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the bacon over medium heat. With a slotted spoon, remove the bacon and set aside on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, soften the onion and garlic in the bacon fat. Set aside in a bowl and let cool.
- In another bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, mustard and maple syrup. Add the onion mixture and bacon. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve on beautiful garden lettuce leaves.
