Broccoli Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- ½ cup (125 ml) chicken broth
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) black bean sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) cold water
- 4 cups (280 g) broccoli florets, blanched for 1 minute
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sesame oil
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) peanut oil
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh ginger, finely chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the broth, sauces and sugar. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the water.
- In a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, stir-fry the broccoli in the sesame oil and peanut oil for 1 minute. Add the garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 1 minute while stirring. Add the broth mixture and cook for 1 minute. Add the cornstarch mixture and cook for 1 minute.
- Transfer the broccoli stir-fry to a serving dish.
