Sweet and Sour Pepper Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and cubed
- 1 fresh chili pepper, coarsely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup (120 g) brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1/4 tsp (60 ml) rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) fish sauce (nuoc-mam)
- 1 1/2 tsp (7.5 ml) corn starch
Instructions
- In a blender, purée all the ingredients until smooth.
- Transfer to a small pot and, over medium-high heat, bring the mixture to a boil. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Transfer the sauce to a bowl. Let cool.
