  • 750 ml (3 cups) cold water
  • 200 g (1 cup) spelt berries
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  1. In a saucepan, bring the water, spelt and salt to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour or until a third of the grains have popped and the rest of the spelt is tender. Drain.
