Clementine and Cinnamon Whisky

Prepare this flavoured whisky at least 24 hours ahead of time so it can absorb the flavours of the clementine and cinnamon. It’s best enjoyed when sipped slowly from a small glass while catching up with family and friends.

Hot Crab Dip

While waiting for dinner to start, serve your guests this warm dip. Prepare it using either crab or shrimp, and then combine it with a creamy white sauce and cheddar cheese. Bake it in the oven until hot, and serve it with crackers and a glass of white wine.

Lemon-Marinated Tofu

To use up a leftover block of tofu, we had the idea of marinating it for four hours in a lemony mixture enhanced with garlic and chili. This crumbled vegetable protein can be used as a garnish—reminiscent of the texture of feta cheese—or can be made into bite-sized pieces to serve with drinks. Easy peasy!

Maple and Honey-Glazed Pork Chops and Pears

Honey and maple are a happy marriage of local flavours and the perfect combo for tender local pork chops and caramelized pear. Enjoy this sweet and tangy meal that’s so easy to love.

Vegetable Gratin

To make this gratin super creamy, coat the cooked vegetables with a béchamel sauce. It’s a classic white sauce, which consists of melting butter before adding flour and then milk. The milk thickens and turns into a smooth sauce. Here, garlic powder and cheese are added to give it more taste.

Oven Bhajis with Cucumber Yogurt

These small fritters, which contain a mixture of sauteed onions and spices, are very popular in India. The bhajis are made with chickpea flour, which gives them a nice crunchy texture once they are baked and are eaten with a creamy sauce made with 0% plain Greek yogurt, cumin, cucumber and herbs. Garnish with pomegranate seeds for a sweet and tangy side, creating freshness and lightness in every bite.

Chicken Tikka with Yogurt

Chicken tikka is a star dish in India. Here we appreciate it all the more when we can make it easily at home. This delicious chicken is marinated in plain 11% yogurt and spices—just enough to give it a good coating and rich taste. Part of the marinade is also used to prepare a hot sauce, flavoured with typical Indian spice blends, like garam masala, with tomato and spinach. It’s a very cozy dish that will warm you up instantly.
