White Tuna Tostadas
Ingredients
- 2 cups (170 g) red cabbage, thinly sliced on a mandoline
- 2 limes
- 2 large ripe avocados
- 8 corn tostadas (see note)
- 1 cup (250 ml) store-bought salsa
- 2 cans (170 g each) white tuna, drained and flaked
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) sour cream
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 jalapeño chili pepper, seeded and chopped
- Cilantro leaves, to taste
- Hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the cabbage with the juice of 1 lime. Season with salt and pepper. Let marinate for 10 minutes. Drain
- Meanwhile, in another bowl, mash the avocados and the juice of half a lime with a fork. Season with salt and pepper. Cut the remaining lime half into wedges.
- Divide the mashed avocados among the tostadas. Top with the salsa, cabbage and tuna. Garnish with the sour cream. Sprinkle with the green onions, jalapeño and cilantro leaves. Serve with the lime wedges and hot sauce, if desired.
