Steaks with Grilled Asparagus and Tamari Dressing
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup (70 g) brown sugar
- ¼ cup (60 ml) tamari
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) water
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp marinated ginger for sushi, chopped
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp (10 ml) Sriracha
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil
- 4 top sirloin beef medallions, each about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick
- 1 lb (450 g) asparagus, trimmed
- 4 Lebanese cucumbers, quartered lengthwise
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a small pot off the heat, whisk together all of the ingredients. Bring to a boil while whisking constantly. Simmer for 1 minute. Remove from the heat.
