Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) medium lean ground pork
- 4 tsp (20 ml) maple syrup
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 tbsp unbleached all-purpose flour (see note)
- 1 tbsp thyme (or sage), finely chopped
- 2 tsp (10 ml) Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red chili flakes
- Softened butter or olive oil, for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, using your hands, combine all of the ingredients. Season with pepper. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.
- Using a 2-tbsp (30 ml) ice cream scoop, form the meat mixture into balls. With lightly oiled hands, press the balls down to form patties. You should have 14 patties.
- Preheat the raclette grill (on either the ribbed or flat side) on medium heat. Once the cooking grill is hot, brush with some softened butter or oil.
- Cook half of the patties at a time on the grill until cooked through, about 4 minutes on each side.
