Egg Roll in a Bowl (Cabbage Noodles with Ginger Pork)
Ingredients
- 8 cups (680 g) green cabbage, thinly sliced (see note)
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) sesame oil
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 lime, zest finely grated and juice
- 1 ½ lb (675 g) lean ground pork
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped
- ¼ cup (60 ml) low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) hoisin sauce
- 2 carrots, grated
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup (10 g) cilantro leaves, finely chopped, plus more for serving
- Crispy noodles (optional)
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- On a non-stick baking sheet, combine the cabbage with the sesame oil and salt. Bake for 15 minutes or until al dente, stirring halfway through.
- Add the lime zest and juice. Mix well.
