Maple and Honey-Glazed Pork Chops and Pears

Ingredients
- 2 pears, ripe but firm, peeled, halved and seeded
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) maple creamed honey
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) apple cider vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, halved
- 2 rosemary sprigs
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) beef broth
- 4 bone-in pork chops, each about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) maple creamed honey
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- In a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, brown the pears in the butter on each side. Add the honey, vinegar, garlic and rosemary. Continue to cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until the pears are tender and nicely caramelized. Set aside on a plate.
- Add the broth to the skillet and simmer for 1 minute. Remove and compost the garlic and rosemary. Set the broth aside in a bowl.
