Lemon and Ginger Sea Scallops

Ingredients

  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper
  • 20 large scallops
  • Raw sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the lemon juice, honey, green onions, ginger and pepper. Add the scallops and marinate for at least 30 minutes, but no more than an hour.
  2. Drain the scallops. In a skillet, sear the scallops on both sides in a little sesame oil. Season with salt.
  3. In a saucepan, reduce the marinade by half. Pour over the scallops.
  4. Serve with rice and vegetables.
