Homemade Italian-style Sausage Patties
Ingredients
- 1 lb (454 g) medium-lean ground pork
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) white vermouth
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) paprika
- 3/4 teaspoon (3.5 ml) salt
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) crushed fennel seeds
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
- Black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, with your hands, combine all ingredients, except for oil. Season with pepper. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
- In a large non-stick skillet, add oil and brown sausage meat formed into six patties, or as is, crumbling until it is thoroughly cooked.
