Homemade Italian-style Sausage Patties

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (454 g) medium-lean ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) white vermouth
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon (3.5 ml) salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) crushed fennel seeds
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, with your hands, combine all ingredients, except for oil. Season with pepper. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
  2. In a large non-stick skillet, add oil and brown sausage meat formed into six patties, or as is, crumbling until it is thoroughly cooked.
