Hawaiian-Style Pork Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 lb (454 g) ground pork
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
- 8 thin slices tomato
- 8 thin slices ham
- 1/4 pineapple, peeled and cut into twelve 3 1/2-inch (9-cm) long thin slices
- 1 orange bell pepper, roasted, seeded and cut into strips
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the grill, setting the burners to high. Oil the grate.
- Shape four patties with the ground pork and lightly oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the patties for about 4 minutes. Flip and top with the cheese. Continue cooking until the meat is thoroughly cooked.
- Toast the bread. Spread the inside of the buns with mayonnaise. Layer with the tomatoes, patties, ham, pineapple and orange bell pepper. Cover with the top bread.
- Serve with a green salad.
