Ground Oat Porridge
Made homemade oat milk? Use the leftover grounds oats to make this delicious porridge!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups (375 ml) water
- Ground oats from homemade oat drink recipe
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon, or more to taste
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 to 2 tbsp (15 to 30 ml) maple syrup
- 4 Medjool dates, pitted and diced
- 2 tbsp nuts, chopped (such as pecans, almonds, walnuts or other)
Instructions
- In a small pot over medium heat, warm the water, ground oats, cinnamon and salt. Simmer, stirring regularly, for 8 minutes or until thickened and the oats are tender. Add the maple syrup and half of the dates.
- Pour into two bowls. Garnish with the remaining dates and the nuts.
