Giant Maple Ham Sandwich with Sesame Coleslaw
To make this giant sandwich, take a whole baguette and fill it with our maple and ginger-braised ham, then top with an Asian-inspired slaw with sesame and roasted peanuts. It’s a sandwich made for sharing for your next gathering with family or friends.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (170 g) Savoy cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp cilantro, plus more for serving
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) mayonnaise, plus more for serving
- 1 tsp (5 ml) maple syrup
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sesame oil
- 1 tsp (5 ml) low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 recipe maple and ginger-braised ham, thinly sliced (see recipe)
- 1 large Parisian-style baguette
- 3 tbsp roasted peanuts, chopped
- 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
- 1/2 jalapeño chili pepper, seeded or unseeded, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Season with pepper.
