Extra-Tender Pork Meatballs
To cook this recipe, use our extra-tender pork meatballs, which can be used in many other ways, such as with roasted bell peppers and barbecue sauce, as well as with squash in a cream sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (250 ml) milk
- 2 cups (60 g) crispy rice cereal (Rice Krispies-style)
- 2.2 lb (1 kg) lean ground pork
- 1/2 cup (35 g) Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) sambal oelek
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 pinch ground cloves
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 425°F (220 °C). Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk and rice cereal. Let soak for 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well with your hands. Season with pepper. The mixture will be delicate.
- With lightly oiled hands, roll 1/4 cup (60 ml) of the mixture at a time into a ball. Gently place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until cooked through.
