Espresso and Maple-Glazed Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup (75 ml) maple syrup
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) espresso
  • 12 thick slices bacon, cooked

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, bring the maple syrup to a boil and simmer until it begins to caramelize. Add the onion and cook for 1 minute or until the syrup is dark golden brown.
  2. Add the espresso and reduce until the glaze is slightly syrupy. Add the cooked bacon and coat well. Delicious with our Multi-Grain Bread.
