Espresso and Maple-Glazed Bacon
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup (75 ml) maple syrup
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) espresso
- 12 thick slices bacon, cooked
Instructions
- In a large skillet, bring the maple syrup to a boil and simmer until it begins to caramelize. Add the onion and cook for 1 minute or until the syrup is dark golden brown.
- Add the espresso and reduce until the glaze is slightly syrupy. Add the cooked bacon and coat well. Delicious with our Multi-Grain Bread.
