Cereal-Crusted French Toast
Got extra cereal in abundance? Use those leftovers as a crust for your breakfast French toast!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup (45 g) cereal of your choice, crushed
- 2 slices bread, with crust
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar and egg. Set aside.
- Spread the crushed cereal out on a plate.
- Soak one slice of bread at a time in the egg mixture. Drain and coat in the crushed cereal.
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, brown the bread on both sides in the butter. Serve immediately.
