Puffed Rice Granola
This granola made with oats, puffed rice cereal and other treats are great on top of yogurt or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (200 g) large oats
- 2 cups (60 g) Rice Krispies-style crispy rice cereal (see note)
- ½ cup (80 g) pumpkin seeds
- ½ cup (75 g) sunflower seeds
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (125 ml) maple syrup
- ¼ cup (60 ml) canola oil
- Toppings of your choice: dried fruits, chocolate chips, shredded coconut, etc.
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Add the syrup and oil. Mix well. Spread out on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Add the toppings of your choice. The granola will keep for 1 month in an airtight container at room temperature.
