Citrus Salad with Spiced Syrup
Ingredients
- 4 navel oranges
- 4 clementines
- 2 Caracara oranges
- 2 blood
- 2 honey tangerines
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) orange juice (or reserved juice from segmenting the citrus fruits)
- 6 tablespoons (90 ml) maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) molasses
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground ginger
- 1 pinch ground cloves
Instructions
- On a clean work surface, use a knife to cut the peel and membranes from the citrus fruit and divide into sections. Save any juice for the syrup.
