Sweet and Spicy Chili Crisp Popcorn
One bite of this sweet, salty and spicy popcorn, and you won’t stop until the bowl is empty. It’s coated in a butter mixture with paprika and chili crisp, sweetened with icing sugar. A perfect snack for movie nights or afternoon cravings.
Ingredients
- 8 cups (100 g) plain popcorn (see note)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) homemade or store-bought spicy chili crisp (see note)
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 tsp icing sugar
Instructions
- Place the popcorn in a large bowl.
- In a small pot, melt the butter with the chili crisp, paprika and salt. Drizzle the butter mixture over the popcorn. Stir well with a spatula to coat the popcorn with the butter.
- Using a small sieve, sprinkle the icing sugar over the popcorn. Mix well.
