Slow Cooker Sticky Toffee Pudding
A dessert to die for! A dry dishcloth placed under the lid of the slow cooker will absorb any extra steam. This way, the top of the cake will not get wet.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) 35% cream
- 2 cups (420 g) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted or semi-salted butter
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) water
- 1 cup (170 g) pitted dates, finely chopped
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups (300 g) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted or semi-salted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (105 g) sugar
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) milk
Instructions
- In a pot, bring all of the ingredients to a boil while stirring. Let reduce for 5 minutes. Set aside.
