Plum and White Chocolate Tartlets
Ingredients
- 4 red plums, pitted and cut into 8 pieces each
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (60ml) sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 3/4 cup (180ml) chilled unsalted butter, cubed
- 1egg
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) water
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
- 8 oz (225 g) white chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) 35% cream
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the plums, sugar and lemon juice to a boil, stirring frequently. Simmer for 2 or 3 minutes. Let cool and transfer to a sealable container. Seal and refrigerate until chilled.
